I want to thank you for your generous gift to the nurses working on the COVID-19 units at Forsyth Medical Center. I understand that you did a yeoman’s job in coordinating the effort and making this happen. The team members in these departments have been working hard for the last eight months, and gifts such as yours mean so much. They are thankful to hear that community members are still thinking of them and support them in their efforts.
I am very proud of our team: nurses, nursing assistants, leaders, dietary workers, housekeepers, pharmacists, physicians and so on. They have been committed to the care of our patients and community and are a real joy with whom to work. The gift bags you shared with the team mean more than just the gift. It is an acknowledgment that their hard work and sacrifice mean something to the people of our community and that means so much to all of us.
